Employer and Supervisor Responsibilities
Being a supervisor enables you to become a mentor and share your knowledge, ultimately helping to shape the engineers of tomorrow. As a co-op employer, your responsibilities and expectations are the same as they would be for any employee with your organization. Since our students have completed a full 50% of their studies before beginning their first co-op placement, they are quite capable of working independently. Students value hands-on, technical supervision that allows them to work on projects that utilize their skill sets.
You will be asked to participate in a Midterm Evaluation and to complete an End of Term Employer Evaluation of the student’s performance before the end of the work term.
