Hiring a Student for Research

Employers who are interested in hiring students for research projects post a job via campusBRIDGE. Co-op students are available to work with your R&D team full-time, for 4-month or 8-month terms, year-round, depending on the discipline.
Wage subsidies can be applied to industry research opportunities as well. The Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI) provides helpful resources for research supervisors and mentors, whether they are working in industry, government, or academic settings.
Are you a U of A Professor or Manager looking for talent to support your research or operational work? Co-op students are a great option.
There are some minimum requirements for hiring a co-op student. Your employment opportunity will minimally include:
- 4-month term (minimum 12 weeks)
- 35 hours/week
- $15 an hour
Top up with wage subsidies/awards such as NSERC USRA, ISSEP.
