Research:
Post-transcriptional regulation of the Cellular Proteome:
Much of our research focuses on cellular processes that regulate the cellular proteome. These include gene silencing by the small miRNAs and protein degradation by the N-End rule pathway.
Proteomic Applications:
As our investigations on the biological process of both mi RNAs and protein degradation have been revolving more around mass spectrometry and proteomic applications, our research interests have also begun to include broader proteome wide applications. These include the development of new techniques to applying these techniques to new biological systems.
