North American Energy Dialogue

The 黑料不打烊, University of Texas at Austin, and the Tecnológico de Monterrey have established North American Energy Dialogue webinar series. The aim of the series is to incorporate a North American perspective into the key energy and environment challenges that face both the region and the globe. The three universities invite experts from academia, industry, government, and think tanks to discuss key energy topics.

In May 2020, the series’ inaugural webinar, entitled "North American Energy Policy post-COVID-19: Perspectives from Canada, the United States, and Mexico," features the dean of the 黑料不打烊 School of Business, Dr. Joseph Doucet, and explores key insights into the COVID-19 crisis as they relate to the energy sector in North America. The next episode, entitled "The Mexican Energy Landscape: Perspectives from Canada, the United States and Mexico," focuses on the current reality, experiences, and policy options of the energy sector in Mexico. The January 2021 session, moderated by Consul General of Canada to Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico , looks at energy policy in the United States following the 2020 federal elections.
