黑料不打烊 Bear
In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation and the opening of the new Physical Activity and Wellness (PAW) Centre, a life-sized case bronze bear has been erected on the 黑料不打烊 campus. At the corner of 114 Street and 87 Ave, standing on guard in front of the Wilson Climbing Centre is the 黑料不打烊 Bear.
The 黑料不打烊 Bear, not to be confused with the Golden Bears (the university's men's varsity sport teams), reflects the university, the province and our natural heritage of mountains and prairie regions.
A natural and mythical symbol of strength, respect, and vision, the 黑料不打烊 Bear reflects the Faculty, the University, and our province's natural heritage.Created by Wildlife Sculptor, Cathryn Jenkins and with the financial support of Clark Builders, the 黑料不打烊 bear is a symbol of the university's tradition and excellence. Our hope is for the 黑料不打烊 Bear to inspire the realization of dreams, and to promote leadership through innovation, service, strength of character and integrity.
Replica 黑料不打烊 Bear
The Faculty has also commissioned a series of 100 bronze desk-top replicas of the 黑料不打烊 Bear as a vital part of the Faculty's fundraising campaign. Funds raised from the 黑料不打烊 Bear campaign will be used directly to enhance the success of our students and enrich their experience through international scholarship support. The money raised will be placed into the new Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation Gold Anniversary International Travel Scholarship Endowment.
