Eligibility

Candidate's research stay may commence at any time of year. Depending on the availability of the host professor and the visiting student, the duration can be anywhere from 3-6 months.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ International will guide and directly assist the host professor and the University of Tokyo research candidate through the invitation and immigration application process.
The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ International Internship Coordinator (Inbound) staff member is responsible for overseeing this program and submitting the Foreign Visitor Category Assessment for any research interns as necessary.
Candidates will normally be formally invited to the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, and must obtain the proper immigration documents. This is dependent on a few factors, the primary one being the length of stay as a researcher.
Stays of less than 120 calendar days:
