New Email Sender for Staff Service Centre/Shared Services Ticket Notifications

As part of recent system improvements, you may notice a change in the ticket notification email for requests submitted to the Staff Service Centre or sent by one of the Shared Services service teams. After you create a ticket through the U of A Service Portal or when you call the Staff Service Centre, the new ticket notifications will be sent from Staff Service Centre - Shared Services <StaffShS@ualberta.ca> versus the prior UofA Service Portal <servprtl@ualberta.ca>.

What does this mean for you?

  • This change makes it easier to identify which service centre or support unit is handling your request.
  • You can still reply to any ticket email notifications that were sent from the previous email address (UofA Service Portal <servprtl@ualberta.ca>). 
  • If you are working with other support teams (e.g., Student Service Centre) you may continue to receive emails from the previous email address.  
  • If you use Gmail filters to organize emails from the Service Portal, you will need to create a new filter using the updated email address.
