(Edmonton) At the risk of sounding cheeky, the 黑料不打烊's Department of Physical Therapy "cleaned up" at the Physiotherapy 黑料不打烊 Awards this past weekend, taking two out of three awards home. Hosted in Kananaskis, the awards were presented at the Conference, with Lindsey Walker winning the Student Leadership Award and Margie McNeely, PhD, taking home the Award for Excellence in Innovation.
Walker (left), is a MSc PT student from the Augustana satellite campus in Camrose. She was recognized for her leadership within the student community, active involvement in professional/regulatory affairs and promoting physiotherapy with the general community.
Margie McNeely (right), physiotherapy professor at the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and director of the Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic, received the Award for Excellence in Innovation. The award recognized McNeely for her work in advancing physiotherapy in research focused on improving quality of care and delivery in physiotherapy services.
