Ralph Makokis Biography

Ralph Makokis is highly focused on Treaty Indians and Lands Reserved for Indians.

As a graduate in earth sciences, Ralph, has spent over 35 years focusing on environmental issues like water, soil, land management and climate change. His passion for these areas fuels his work in community-focused initiatives. With a deep background in environmental consultation, trades training, and resource development.

The focus and passion is on community infrastructures, and developing community and economic growth in regards to capacity and regulatory building, and training through partnerships and joint ventures with industrial corporations, governments (federal, provincial, municipal), and educational institutions.

His excellence in project assessments, joint venture negotiations, and promoting economic growth has him involved in leading instructional design and curriculum development, particularly in youth cultural land-based programs.

Over the years, Ralph has worked with federal departments such as Indian and Northern Affairs and Public Works Canada, as well as the oil, gas, and forestry industries.
