Event: Japanese horror films at Metro Cinema

Two final films in collaboration with professor William Carroll for his Japanese Horror in Film class will be playing at Metro Cinema next week!

The first is Manda Kunitoshi's Synchronizer, from 2017, which will be playing at 7 PM on Tuesday, April 1st: .
“Takashi is a scientist conducting unauthorized research on how to synchronize brain waves between animals and humans, trying to find a way to cure his mother of dementia. His colleague Moe hopes that the research can help treat her mother’s Alzheimer’s disease, but when the research can cause unexpected results, she tries to put a stop to it.”

The second is Miike Takashi's Audition, from 1999, which will be playing at 6:45 PM on Friday, April 4th: 

“A widower takes an offer to screen girls at a special audition, arranged for him by a friend to find him a new wife. The one he fancies is not who she appears to be after all.”
