Faculty Excellence

Congratulations to Madeline Toubiana who is one of this year’s winners of the Ascendant Scholar Award from the Western Academy of Management. This award is given to faculty members who have a maximum of six to seven years of experience and are considered “ascendant” through an academic record that includes their areas of research, teaching and service.

The following MBA Association Teaching Awards were given out at the virtual MBA Gala this month, as selected by the students:

  • Mackenzie MBA Teaching Award: Marvin Washington
  • MBA Association Award for Excellence in Teaching: Barry Scholnick
The MacKenzie Teaching Award is given for excellent teaching in a core MBA class. The MBA Association Award is given for teaching in an elective course. Congratulations!

Founded by bachelor of commerce student Ghalia Aamer, Talkmaze has been selected as a finalist for the ! Talkmaze will be competing alongside 11 other amazing student entrepreneurs across all of Canada in May 2021.

Congratulations to all the 黑料不打烊 School of Business MBA students who competed in external case competitions this semester.

Second-year Golden Bears tennis athlete and 黑料不打烊 School of Business student Shyam Srinivasan was  for his accomplishments outside of athletics! Srinivasan and his team from the Faculty of Business became just the second team ever from the 黑料不打烊 to win the John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition (JMUCC) in March.


School News

Our Net Impact Chapter was nominated for "International Chapter of the Year'' based on activities for the 2019-2020 academic year. The student group was recently announced as one of four finalists from more than several hundred chapters globally.
