Certificate in Planetary Health

The Certificate in Planetary Health is an embedded undergraduate certificate designed to give students from all faculties an introduction to public health and the ways the environment impacts health in Canada and around the world.

Overview

The physical and social environments in which we live have a significant influence on our health. Global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem degradation intersect with regional issues such as access to clean water, sanitation, hygiene, secure food supplies, and exposure to air pollution, all of which affect population health.

This program builds on the Environmental Health courses offered by the School of Public Health and allows you to complete the certificate by including courses from your own faculty.
